Microsoft Creates Market for IP Addresses With $7.5M Bid

Microsoft paid $7.5 million for a block of IP addresses during the bankruptcy auction of Nortel Networks. Nortel's assets included the block of 666,624 of the IPv4 addresses that ran out last month. Does this set a valuation for the emerging secondary market for such addresses?
